Jeremy Rawls is a Mississippi author, residing in Brandon, MS. He began formally writing in 2013, completing college in 2016 with a BA in English from Mississippi College. He also has his Masters in Education from Mississippi College as of 2018.
Jeremy is a former active duty Marine with two combat tours in Iraq. He was part of the invasion in 2003 and later returned for the take down of Fallujah. After leaving the Corps, he worked as a contractor for the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security with two contracts in Afghanistan. He served 7 years in the Army National Guard and advocates for warrior rights and against health issues.
He competes in writing in various forms. In 2016, he won three state level 1st place positions in creative arts for the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, placing 3rd nationally in one category. He won three state level 1st place positions in 2017 and two 1st place positions in poetry at state level in 2018 as well. He has been published in many forms of publications over the years, from online to print.
